Here at my side stands a group
from all of life's many roads

Among them are the strong
the intelligent and the true

I feel proud that they count
me as friend or brother

I am honoured by their support
they advise without rancour

And I am blessed to be loved
by a singular miracle among them

Friend is a title I may give freely
but it's meaning is a priceless one

There may be others out there
who weigh that title cheap and light

But they cause pain with every footstep
on their lonely and selfish road

I have many blessings around me
and each one, I can name

My only wish as I look around
is that my friends never depart

We all go through tough and meager times on whatever level. And I will have to say that the friends who were there by your side through the rough and thick of it, they really do deserve to have angels wings. I have a few in my life who are deemed as such by me.
