It would have to be my kiss at Midnight. And Eid. . . and making the cheesecake. . .but mostly it was kissing you at Midnight New Years Eve. . . and waking up and not being all full of dread. . . that was such a relief!!
I had a great holidaze this year. So good I have to go with a top 5: 1. Seeing friends - old and new 2. Seeing some of the most gorgeous views on the planet 3. Spending Christmas with a big, noisy family 4. Getting cool prezzies 5. Finding Zen in the entire package: spending time with people I love, doing things I love, in places I love.
I would have to say that this years holiday sunshine for me was that we finally had the money to have a good, not extravagant, but good Christmas for everyone. It was heartwarming to see everyone so happy for a change. It also would have to include an entire day I got to spend in bed just relaxing, watching girly movies that made me cry, explaining happy tears to my kids, watching them learn how to cook. That was what got me. Training bra... no problem. Explaining puberity... solid subject handled without a flinch. But when my little girl made me a grilled cheese sandwich all by herself I cried and cried and called EVERY girlfriend I knew to help me get through the "my kids are growing faster than I'm ready for" crisis...lol. Reflectively it was wonderful tho!!
