You cannot know someone completely unless you are them. So, no.

Though it is possible to know someone so well that you can predict their thoughts, feelings, and actions. There is a degree of familiarity that allows to you communicate with a person without ever really needing to speak. This is the highest level of spiritually and intellectually "knowing" a person.

Maybe you can't know someone 100%, but you can truly know someone. Scorpions sting, snakes bite, fish swim, the earth spins, I laugh. Consider saving the effort and ask yourself: how much do you really need to know about someone before you're both annoyed? I say leave room for discovery. Perfection, after all, is just an extreme and illusionary standard that is only really meant to be used as a guide post and not the destination.

Not really.  You can truly know someone well, but not truly know them completely.

I can't believe you can ever know someone 100%. Hell, even after my entire life, my parents and sisters can still shock the hell outta me.

But I believe you can know someone VERY well. :)

it isnt measured in time

you dont have to know all the data

you dont have to know all the history

for me truly knowing someone is getting them

i get him - he gets me

make sense?

Yes, but I think you only "know" very few people. And I think a lot of people think they "know" others when they really don't.

Yes. It is possible to TRULY know someone. But that person, or persons, are the ones that are linked to your soul. Just a spouse, or a best friend, they don't count. It has to be the one that can pry deep into your heart, into your soul, and forge a bond.

I truly know a few people. Like Raven. Like Charlie. Like my brother, Nick. And that is about it. And you know? I don't want to know anyone else on that level. Caring and loving for those three, on top of my children and responsibilites, is enough to make a normal person kill themselves. If you knew the burdens I carry, you would understand.

But as for knowing a person pretty well and loving them, that is the closest anyone really needs to be.

Do you see now why I wanted to get to know you? You grasped my attention and that does not happen very often!

I'm glad to have grasped your attention :D

I'm more inclined to believe that most people change and evolve so quickly, that by the time you get to the end of their book, the beginning's changed :)
