I'm obsessed with music. I get seriously twitchy if i try to go more than 12-16 hours without tunes of some sort either piping in through my ears or out through my throat.
When i'm stressed, i tend to hum in halting notes from the low end of an octave to the top and back again. For minutes on end. Not knowing i'm doing it. o_0
Just recently, i'm able to hear music in my head. Like, actually hear it when there's none playing. And i can create entire orchestral pieces just by imagining the instrument and giving it a tune to play in context with the others.
It's kinda awesome and kinda scary. I may someday feel compelled to work at a music store just to keep myself from going entirely insane. :)
I should like to recommend a program call Finale NotePad then. http://www.finalemusic.com/notepad/ I use it to write sheet music. You can use all sort of different instruments, write for them simultaneously, and play it back. You can choose different time signatures, alter the tempo, even add lyrics. And it's free.
I am a total collar Nazi. I see a fucked up collar and we've met once before or I feel comfortable enough, I have to fix it. It drives me bat-shit. Crooked frames on a wall, too. Oh, and while it doesn't drive me nuts to see it, I like to have the CD's right-side-up in the jewel cases.
Grammar. Even though I'm not perfect, by any means. It's just those blatant errors that get under my skin.
Also - the table I eat off of. I can't have clutter on it. Everything must be set appropriately; no empty sugar packets or stirring straws or dirty napkins lying around. And when I'm done with the food, I want it cleared away immediately.
I also hate it when cabinets or drawers are left open.
I have a few. I won't wait in bus shelters if there are people in them (besides me) no matter if it's raining or snowing or what. If it's empty, no problem! They're see through so it's not a claustrophobia thing.
Noisy shoes. I think this is my strangest one. If someone is walking behind me with shoes that clunk or click I have to either walk fast enough so that there's enough distance between us so that I don't hear it any more or, let them pass me. If I don't do either I get really irritated!
Oh and if someone moves my stuff at work and I can't find it, look out! =)
im compulsive about how people percieve me.. they always give me comments on how nice i look, yet i dont believe myself. i always impress people with the way i look, but i dont impress myself. its the reason why i avoid mirrors all the time...i hate the damn pressures society puts on us females.. >.
I alphabatise things. I check if the doors are locked. I make sure the gas is off. I can't sleep on a bed when the mattress cover is wonky. If the blanket is upside down I have to turn it the right way up (James gets it all muddled when he lies in it playing the computer) Every time I walk into the kitchen I have to open the fridge door. I always have to be the last one saying goodbye on the end of the phone call. If there's a pattern such a flowers, then they have to be the right way up when making the bed.
