What twist of fate prompted you to levitate into your current career?

I'll be working towards a career. Close enough? :)

The twist of fate that poked me in the butt was falling head-over-heels for my boyfriend and realizing that i may be spending a good chunk of my life with him, if not the rest of my years. One of us has to be the breadwinner and considering his past... Well, i'm our best bet. ^_^

A night of unbridled passion and the musings of immortality via offspring.

It rocks being a full time mother. ;)

Meeting my secret love.
I still wonder if his place in my life was principally to be my secret love or to steer me in the direction of a career that is new and different from the last.

9/11 actually had a lot to do with it, and making the mistake of planning my life around a boy.

Career? What career? :P kidding!

Seriously, I have yet to really get started with a paid job in politics. But I chose to try it out because of how much I genuinely like people. Politics is people. The offices I've interned at have always been so nice. And I feel like I actually do stuff that helps/makes a difference.

Then there's painting... if I ever figure out how to make money from that I'll be doing that ;)

I asked my boss to fire me from my sales job. I spent 2 month out of work posting out hundreds of CVs looking for a support job and I got one with the BBC, I was there 2 years.

It was nepotism, pure and simple. I am literally sitting in my father's seat and have gotten all of his promotions. All hail the Duke of Wastewater. All hail the Almighty Flushing and the sewer tax which converts shit into the gold within my purse. Amen.

Desperation.
I swear to all the gods that I never tried to get a job at a cellphone call center. I got drunk one night and woke up with a headache, chained to a desk. Another victim of the Sprint/Nextel Press Gang.
