Over here, everything is group oriented. Having a date with fewer than ten people would be nice.

As for the conventional meaning of date - I'm past that point in my life when I go on dates. Going on raisins or prunes is more like it.

The only drawback to that kind of first date is if you find out you have nothing to talk about, things go downhill pretty fast. But that is better than figuring it out much later..

Oh I so agree. I know I am an acquired taste, and I admit I am very picky. So yeah, if things don't seem to have potential, I don't like to drag them out. Maybe that is too practical. I donno. Not terribly romantic though. It will never make a good storyline for a movie, lol!

The first time Jeff and I went out after we decided to date...we went out to eat at olive garden but mostly...we just hung out at my house and connected...I think that's what's most important in relationships...the connecting.

Kidding. That's a complicated question. If I weren't so happy with how Nan and I turned out, I think that there would have to be a very obvious electricity between me and whoever the other lady was. Thank goodness I don't have to sweat that anymore!

One that immediately popped into my head was a blind date a very good friend set me up on which is so out of my comfort zone. I took a bus into NYC and met him at Port Authority (he knew what I looked like but I didn't have a clue about him). We went to the Metropolitan Museum and talked art for hours. Then we went for dim sum where I tried all sorts of things because he gave off this adventurous vibe that I loved. After that we walked around Central Park and then back to Port Authority where he gave me the best hug ever. I smiled the entire trip back to NJ.

Now to answer this. :)

I've never been on a date. Nobody's ever taken me out so i've no basis for comparison. Brian promised me once that he'd take me somewhere nice, but that never happened.

But i'll take a stab at this. Let's see...

Picking me up at my house would be a fantastic first step. I don't mind meeting up somewhere, but that little extra effort would make feel like a princess.

Gearing the conversation towards actual content rather than turning everything we say into sexual innuendo would be a hugely major plus. Not that i don't do the same thing myself, but everything doesn't have to be juxtaposed with sex.

For something to do, live music is a must. I love concerts. The more energy, the better. And afterwards, if strings were pulled to meet the band backstage, i would die of happiness and love puffs.

To cap off the night, stargazing and talking about practically nothing would make me fall so hard. And if i really enjoyed everything, whoever i'm with is sure to get lucky.

Yeah. That would be my perfect date. :)

Wings and beer on Jazz night lol...it's relaxed and gives room for great light hearted conversation but also time to think.
I am who I am, and to have him see me goey handed and messy eater, Irish drinker singing kareoke right off the bat might not win him over but at least i'll be true to myself. Then after we could drive out and sit on the hood of the car watch the stars laugh get to know eachother...This could be why I'm still single lol
