Hello...

I hope you don't mind my peeking in your journal and answering your question of the day. :)

Blind dates, personally, have been nothing but disasters. However, they can be fun. The odd feeling of not knowing the person is exciting and a bit nerve-wracking. So yeah, I don't have much else to say on that. I hope that helps.

I like to at least have some idea of what the person looks like. I hate blind dates.

My eyesight is bad enough without trying to date without being able to see. LOL

My dating skills are bad enough as it is without someone else trying to fix me up, I wouldn't have a clue where to start with someone I didn't even have the slightest idea about. Thank god I'm happily in a relationship

Well, it would certainly mean crossing off any sightseeing tours on the "things to do" list, but that doesn't mean we can't go to a nice restaurant, have a good meal and then sally forth to a club or some other venue to listen to some good music.

It's all about flexibility, m'boy...all about flexibility. ;)

I'm open to them, especially if the recommendation is from a trusted friend. Not all work out well, but if per chance I had the opportunity, I would probably accept.

Why not?

Don't have much to think about them... never really been on one. Not the traditional blind date, anyway, where friends set you up. Now if you're talking about meeting someone from online you've never even seen a picture of... I've done that LOTS of times. And it's fun. It can be scary sometimes, depending on who shows up, but it's always interesting.

Hate them, I've had nothing but bad luck with them. Psychotics and misrepresentation.

I've never been on one. If it were set up by someone I trusted, especially if it were a double date with the person who set it up and their date, I would do it.

I like blind dates, but I have to be careful to not overcompensate. It's not as if the person hasn't learned to cope with their blindness, so my being overly aggressive in helping her to the table, reading her the menu, making sure she's not eating the tablecloth, not simply pointing when she says "where's the restroom"... could be "seen" as condescending. But I do love that feeling my face to "see" who I am thing. It's the next best thing to having sex!

I think they are awful. As the charity case of the sorority, I had been on a few and they were with real losers, so that made me feel like a loser, too.

As you can tell, I am against them.

I had one blind date about 20 years ago. Friend of a coworker. I hated him, but loved the George Thorogood show. :)

i think they're ok, just as long as you're not out with a psycho. i met my boyfriend through a blind date set up by our friends. it was risky and scary, but it turned out to be worth it.

I've never been on a blind date...I've actually only really been on two or three real dates so i have no idea. But the thought scares me.
