What is your journal title, and why??

God's Favoured Apostate... I thought of it this morning and could not stop laughing... :D

Spaced Out Ramblings

I would have thought it was mostly self explanatory - no claim for sanity here, it would be ludicrous. "Spaced" is also a reference to my job and how this journal is a way out of THAT typ eof madness.

"I'm a barely animated corpse, and I have to pee."

Verbatim quote taken from an IM conversation with a friend in response to a question about how I was feeling/how things were going.

A Room with a sm00...

It's a weak play on words (a room with a view).

I think my previous title was "A rock and an empty bag" which are both references to a Yahoo! group I read.

The empty bag refers to having nothing to say (thought I had more to say, but all I had was an empty bag, really) and the rock is simply something to put in the bag to fill it (my lame comments are the rocks).

Mine is "The Agony of Choice" - A: I think it sums me up and B: it was a superb line out of Black Adder.

"You must never run from anything immortal...
It only attracts their attention."

That's a quote from the Last Unicorn (by Peter Beagle, which if you haven't read, you should esp with your fondness for writing).

It's just a small moto that puts me in my fantasy zone. Sometimes I'm a unicorn, sometimes a fairy. Sometimes I'm immortal, or maybe we all are immortal. Maybe only writing these journals makes us immortal. You never know, just don't run from us. hehe.

And as a more serious life saying, it's like saying that when you most feel like running away from something, is probably when you shouldn't...

I'm not a linear process

(subtitled) Today is all I've got

Why? Because sometimes I make great leaps in my progress, sometimes I seem to fall back, sometimes I plateau. Today is the only thing I have, the only thing I have to offer.

The Life of Kat Amphigorical. It's pretty self explanatory, methinks. :)

It used to be subtitled "contingency plans and matte glitter", but i pulled that down awhile ago for reasons i no longer remember. o_0

"My mind, and the places it goes," which about sums up the contents of my LJ.

My subtitle is "Singing Showtunes with the Rabbi's Girlfriend," which I really did do, and it, too, sums up my LJ -- I ramble with some regularity about both religion and music (though rarely together).

"Mekong River Reviews"

Well, that's the big river around here. And it controls everything - history, culture, weather and food. Is there anything I've forgotten?

Oh, some day it will be the title of a famous literary journal. Probably after I've passed on, though.

Journal title..."The musings, mumbles and downright muddled inner workings of alainn_mactire" - The first bit is kinda self explanatory and "alainn mactire" is my pen name (Irish Gaelic for "beautiful wolf"...wolves and tigers had always been my spirit guides in animal form).

Journal sub-title..."Bíonn dhá insint ar scéal agus dhá leagan déag ar amhrán" - means "There are two versions to every story but twelve versions to every song. Well, I'm a singer and, if you've ever been to an Irish "do" then you'll see the relevance :o)

Friends Page title..."Peace, Tea and Crazy People" - Well, I'm a pacifist, I'm rarely without a mug of tea and all my friends are bonkers, LOL.

I actually had to go check to confirm what my journal title is... But, it is:

Rowan's Branches: Twisted & Misguided

Rowan being my "alter-ego," but it's also a tree, hence the "branches" - extensions from me, i.e., my frields. Twisted - again, branches, but also refers to my personality - as does the misguided.
