I would have thought it was mostly self explanatory - no claim for sanity here, it would be ludicrous. "Spaced" is also a reference to my job and how this journal is a way out of THAT typ eof madness.
I think my previous title was "A rock and an empty bag" which are both references to a Yahoo! group I read.
The empty bag refers to having nothing to say (thought I had more to say, but all I had was an empty bag, really) and the rock is simply something to put in the bag to fill it (my lame comments are the rocks).
"You must never run from anything immortal... It only attracts their attention."
That's a quote from the Last Unicorn (by Peter Beagle, which if you haven't read, you should esp with your fondness for writing).
It's just a small moto that puts me in my fantasy zone. Sometimes I'm a unicorn, sometimes a fairy. Sometimes I'm immortal, or maybe we all are immortal. Maybe only writing these journals makes us immortal. You never know, just don't run from us. hehe.
And as a more serious life saying, it's like saying that when you most feel like running away from something, is probably when you shouldn't...
Why? Because sometimes I make great leaps in my progress, sometimes I seem to fall back, sometimes I plateau. Today is the only thing I have, the only thing I have to offer.
"My mind, and the places it goes," which about sums up the contents of my LJ.
My subtitle is "Singing Showtunes with the Rabbi's Girlfriend," which I really did do, and it, too, sums up my LJ -- I ramble with some regularity about both religion and music (though rarely together).
Journal title..."The musings, mumbles and downright muddled inner workings of alainn_mactire" - The first bit is kinda self explanatory and "alainn mactire" is my pen name (Irish Gaelic for "beautiful wolf"...wolves and tigers had always been my spirit guides in animal form).
I actually had to go check to confirm what my journal title is... But, it is:
Rowan's Branches: Twisted & Misguided
Rowan being my "alter-ego," but it's also a tree, hence the "branches" - extensions from me, i.e., my frields. Twisted - again, branches, but also refers to my personality - as does the misguided.
Because I rule the space between fantasy and reality; the Kingdom of Dementia. Luckily, as king, I get a free border visa usable if and when I need to make an appearance in either plane adjacent to my own; Like now for example.
In my mind the sun shines...All the time! (Because I tend to be really happy and optimistic. And even when things suck, I like to find a bright lining amidst a cloudy situation.)
