If God's existence could be proved or disproved, would you want to know?

Yes.

God does not exist?

Out of sheer curiousity, because I am just that way, how did you come about the decision that God does not exist?

There is not one DRIP of sarcasm here, I am honestly just curious, for I respect all decisions as long as everyone else does.

Be warned these are my opinions, they may not make sense. They probably even contradict themselves but that doesn't matter to me.

I see it that man needs God (in whatever form) to thank when things go right and to pray to when things are going wrong. I see it that God (or Goddess) was created out of man's needs, by man.

Lets say that God does exist, What does God get out of this deal? Lots of people crying for help all the time, wars fought in his/her name. Because he has not physical presence anyone can say the he told them to do anything, there is no way to prove that he didn't. His words can become misquoted so many times over time that the misquote can become the truth because it's written down, so it must be true.

I'm not just talking about Christianity and the other big religions. The Church of Scientology was a new religion created by L. Ron Hubbard and Wicca was created by Gerald Gardner (taking ideas from other places to create his own version). Both of these are less than 60 years old, but already have strong followings. Who is to say that in a couple of hundred years their words haven't formed a religion so big that it will rival that of Christianity and Buddhism?

Ok so when we die we disappear of to the next world/heaven etc to a place outside of our known universe. We may have no physical body, but with all the billions of people that have died before us, isn't this place going to become a bit over crowded? Which God controls entrance? Jesus and his father? Herne the Hunter? Jehovah? Allah?

My argument has a fault, I will willing admit that. Creation came from the big bang theory. But to create this big bang you need to have two atoms where did these atoms come from? I can't answer that. Nor can I answer the question who created the creator.

In my opinion God was created by man out of man's needs and insecurities. Man is afraid of dying so needs to believe that when this life is over he is going on to something better.

I admire anyone that has faith. Faith is a strong and important thing in the lives of many people. It's what drives people to do incredible things (both good and stupid).

My your God/Gods/Goddesses bless your life
