Mr. McClure
when he took my poetry/short story journal away from me, read it while watching a movie in class, then later him saying "Nikki, you were born to do this."

She is one of the most driven women I have ever met in my life. She inspires me to do things that most people would think impossible. Unlike my mother who is full of "pep talks" and "support", my sister is full of example and execution. She is also able to balance her career, doing things she has made happen for herself, with her home life. She is able to control her own destiny as well as be submissive supporting and loving to her husband. She is a molecular biologist that decided to go back and get her MBA so that she could make her own bakery. She is the "in control, domestic goddess, martha stewart with a Master's degree and a vision"!! To me, she is super woman. When I told my mother that I was going to leave and go to school in England, she said "you can do it.. I have always believed in you!" When I told Desiree, she said "You can do it, I've always believed in you.. now.. you need to do this and this and that.. and make sure this is done and I had to do this that way.. there you go.. you now know HOW" I have always respected her "ok.. enough talk.. lets do this" kind of attitude.

And she can cook. I can't cook

What an amazingly difficult question to answer!

Mom and Dad taught me that I can change things for myself.
Ron P. taught me to think outside the Western box. His folks taught me that, like an arm or leg, a mind can be broken and to watch out for that.
Bill H. taught me to enjoy my imagination.
The Army taught me patience and what was the oldest female admiral in the Navy taught me leadership (I saw her on 60 Minutes).
Jeff L. taught me how to write better by at least two orders of magnitude and how to really help a friend in grave need.
Nan is teaching me how to be in a meaningful relationship.

So many, many people have influenced me in profoundly positive ways that I can't just call out one above others. Even if I subscribed to any particular school of divinity, I couldn't put a deity above the people who have influenced me because I've only learn about them through priests, who, if influential, are subsequently part of that mass. I don't think I can really answer.
