At the border
between day and night
When dreams mingle with reality
You stand atop a cliff
and watch an ocean
filled with broken wishes
and failed dreams
I see you from the sea
as I try to row towards you
in a little skiff I've fashioned
from the driftwood of dead dreams
I bound them together
breathed life into them
and I seek you now
the dreamer who gave up on dreams
holding one together
keeping it afloat
proving it can be done
and waiting for you to dive
into the sea with me
