No. What would the world come to if they did? Pain may not be pleasant, but it's crucial to a functioning existence. Ask anyone who has been afflicted with leprosy what it's like to live a life without physical pain, they will tell you that it involves a lot of injuries and lost limbs that could have been avoided if their nerve endings were in working order. So with emotional pain and guilt: they may not be fun, but you loose important things if you don't have them.
As for love...it seems to me that forgetting love could be even more damaging than forgetting pain.
