What accents / dialects can you do? (If you can, voicepost your accents and put a link in the comments :D)

Sorry, we don't have accents here. It's the rest of the world that talks funny.

Actually, it's only the English who can speak English without an accent ;)

i got a good tip from a friend once- basically you're not meant to move your tongue very much as you speak. it's a very lazy dialect. i love it, it always gets a giggle.

new joisey, da bronx, tennessian, deep south, brit, scot's brogue, valley girl - just to name a few.

I pick up accents with ease.

And no. I'm not posting valley girl for you. Nice try.

Southern, New York (I've done several plays with that accent) and British (of course you'd probably be able to tell it's a fake ;-)) Actually, I was in New York once and my friend Erin and I were on the lil ferry going over to the Statue of Liberty and we were talking in our British accents and this guy comes over to us and goes "Are you from England?" and Erin replies "No, Ohio." And the guy asks "Are you sure?" and she goes "Yes, quite sure." Haha. That was a fun trip ;-)

Haha. So it would seem :-)

Speaking of accents, when my family went to Europe, we were riding the Underground and my dad started talking with this English father and son, and at one point in the conversation my dad goes "We're visting from America" and the English father smiles and goes "Uh, yeah, I kinda figured that out." It's a very American way of thinking -- even when in a foreign country -- that it is the other person who has the accent.

Oh, I think the same way...

Thing is, being from England, and speaking English, logically, us Englishmen and women don't have accents ;)

I think I've posted a few times as Gollum, but never as Stitch. My family has a weird tendency to break out in random bad impersonations of various accents/dialects when we are talking about subjects that are not entertaining enough on their own. The fake Russian is my favorite, but I also love the "Norsky" American dialect found in places like Wisconsin and Minnesota. I'm told it's something they pick up from being so close to Canada.

I'm readily good with Irish, Scottish, and a variety of North American dialects, but I'm a natural mimic. Give me any dialect from anywhere in the world to listen to for an hour, and I can probably mimic it.
