Speaking of accents, when my family went to Europe, we were riding the Underground and my dad started talking with this English father and son, and at one point in the conversation my dad goes "We're visting from America" and the English father smiles and goes "Uh, yeah, I kinda figured that out." It's a very American way of thinking -- even when in a foreign country -- that it is the other person who has the accent.
