As twilight fades into moonless night
and the cold tendrils of darkness
spread through pale flesh
to surround your heart in ice

Look up

Hidden within each shadow
is a black hearted soul
that finds its dawn
in you

Look up

Shrouded in the empty skies
is a dark guardian
that knows nothing more
than you

Look up

The cold surrounding your heart
is merely his protective hand
caring in the only way
he can
