My attempt:

Don't wash your hands of me,
My dearest one,
my tears implore you.
Look towards the future
and the dusk of your days.
Regret will not keep you warm
by the the embers of once roaring fire,
sleepless and alone.

If my dreams
were like footfalls in reality
Then a furrow would form
in the stone road leading to my love's door
Alas, in the land of dreams
the furrows fade away
