Long answer- love in the midst of imperfections is perfect love. What I can't answer is how often "perfect love" exists. Sometimes I feel it actually is frequent, sometimes I feel it's rare.
Love itself doesn't exist unless you become aware of it. Degrees of love are irrelavent whether you are talking about mom, or your dog or wife or child. Unless you are associating them with love, love doesn't exist. Not so much out of site/ out of mind as much as out of mind/ out of existance. But when in mind, I think that love is ALWAYS perfect, no matter what the degree, no matter what the motive. Pull out a chair, Give a bum a buck, buy a frined a beer, hold their head out of the sick when they puke, what ever. Love is there, on or off. THe mind makes up degrees to one's own satisfaction.
See, this is why I take issue with the idea of soul mates: the idea of a "perfect love" is a very dangerous mentality to strive for. If you believe in a perfect love or that there is only one person you are meant to be with, if your relationship doesn't amount to that you'll feel cheated, and even if the relationship is great, if it's missing something, you may leave it, hoping to find your soul mate, who may or may not exist. Women will leave great guys (or not even date them to begin with) because they aren't living up to some fantasy relationship they have built up in their heads. I believe that there are only a certain number of people that we are all truly compatible with, and I'm not saying that women (or men) should just settle for whoever is available, but don't limit yourself to the danger of only one person being "right" for you.
Love is inherently perfect. A perfect match of the greatest degree of love from two people is the hard part. But if I had infinite monkeys, typing on infinite typewriters... I'd have to say without a doubt, yes.
Perfect is in the eye of the beholder, much like beauty. To me perfect is a beauty that stops my breath. However, what I may feel is beautiful may not be what you think is. As a result... perfect is just a matter of opinion. Do I think there is a love out there that fits like a puzzle piece? Perhaps fills the voids in ones soul... Yes I do. Even if from the outside it seems flawed. = 0 )
The question I answered is assuming what you've meant by "Perfect Love". At one time, I would have said that all love is the same. Then I loved. To define perfect love as being that soul mate that crosses time and space, I'd say it's rare. As rare as any individual.
maybe you missed some rules or something, but i'm an american, which means that i don't have to explain anything to any tea-drinkin', blood-pudding-eatin', parliament-havin', queen-lovin', revolutionary war/war of 1812-losin' brit, all right?
neither to see a flaw in the other?..i say that's possible, even if something deep inside says different...must be the bad experiences, but those shouldn't stop us hope for better :)...yep,i think is possible not to see a flaw in the one you love, since i understand that when you love someone you love the hole someone with the good and bad parts and the bad parts don't matter that much, since you're in love ;)...
