Intuition about people is very useful :)

When I was little, I would get bad vibes about certain people, generally ones very well liked by my parents, and would be totally unable to explain it. Everyone else would be very perplexed by it, because generally these were people that looked very good on the surface, were very charismatic and well-liked. My parents used to pray that I would get the gift of Discernment of Spirits (so that I would finally see how great said people were and would quit being freaked out by them, I assume). The more they prayed, the more weirded out I would get. (And fundies don't tend to like things like that that they can't brainwash out of you, let me tell you.)

A wee bit later on down the road, all the dirty laundry would come out in the wash, and it would turn out that these people were not nearly so nice as everyone had come to believe they were. Quite a bit of nastiness would generally ensue, which was generally somewhat unpleasant for all in the vicinity, including unrelated passersby who just happened to get caught up in the wake (and my parents tended to be quite a bit more in the thick of things than they should have been, being generally trusting souls, and thoroughly brainwashable like all good fundies). After the chaos died down a little bit, my mother would generally say something like "Do you remember when ..." But then we would go through the whole rigamarole again the next time when someone a little too good to be true came along.

I wouldn't say I have good intuition, generally speaking, but when I get a bad vibe, especially for no good reason, I tend to run for the hills. Do not pass go, do not collect $100.
