Going to sleep every night, and getting up every morning.
And then there was the time I rode in a plastic garbage bag down the side if a small glacier at Heather Lake. Or Zack and I running below burning trees when the fire crowned (although that wasn't a risk "taken" so much as a risk "unavoidable"). There was the time my friends and I ran and hit from the cops in The Odd Fellows Cemetary, or the other time with different friends on Sleepy Hollow Road in Wenatchee when I outran them and then wheeled into an orchard with my lights off in a minivan until they passed by two more times. Or Ben and my races back to his house on four wheelers in a dry colvert. Cliff jumping into mostly known waters. Pretty much anytime I climb onto a horse at dad's bequest. Falling in love is a major risk, too. So was running booze and other things over the Canadian border with Tabetha when we were younger.
Past tense. Now with me all crippled up with a chronic knee condition I'll have to slow it down. Truth be told, I am rather worried because manual labor is what I do to make money, and I can't do that now, so I am pretty much fucked. I have no clue how I am going to pay rent, or any other bill right now. I'd hate to be a homeless cripple. But, hell with it. I've rolled the dice and came out of the shit storms standing upright before, all I can do is keep trying. Dice have six sides for a reason.
