I don't believe in deities. To me, and this is just my opinion, they are at best an interesting fairy tale and at worst nonesense and have no rational or scientific basis- i.e. steeped in theories based on stories written by human beings. Therefore, I find it hard to believe in any sort of 'fairy tales'. I find often people who seep their lives in deities, or gods/Gods use them as an excuse or rational for their behavbiour or a band aid and I find this offensive and an act in futility.
Saying all this, I believe everyone has the profound right to do and believe in anything they choose and I respect their right as I would hope they would respect my right.
