I agree with you. I used to weigh 235 pounds (I'm 5'3). I am now 137 pounds (no surgery.. just changed my diet and exercised. Was down to 130, but gained some weight in New York while visiting my Fiance.. LOL). And I work in a restaurant and see people... obese people buying all this crap and I just want to shout at them "EAT A SALAD!!!"
I guess that is kinda mean for me to say, but at the same time, I USED to be fat... so I know.
Exactly the same for me. Plus, I see them where I work... with COPD, bone problems, heart problems, and a "poor me" attitude. I don't think I am a food Nazi, but you've just got to be REASONABLE!
Reasonable yes. I mean where i work, some people will order a TON of food, seriously. Some will eat more for lunch when I will in an ENTIRE day!
My brother has a friend who weighs close to 500 pounds. He's 5'11 and just HUGE. And my brother tells me he eats and eats and eats. Well this guy's friend was big too and got gastric-bypass and now is so much thinner. He was scheduled for one, but got scared and said he'd do Jenny Craig instead. Well one day, he passed by a full length mirror in a department store and what he saw of himself scared the crap out of him. He'd never seen his full body. And so now... he's scheduled for gastric-bypass too this June. He's a very nice guy and I would hate to see him die because of food.
And it's soooooooooo easy to gain weight. It truly is. Sure, have a burger, but maybe once a week or every other week or once a month. Not every day! :)

When I see really fat people shoving unhealthy food down their gullets, or smoking--- it's disgusting.
