It's not a long story. 2 years ago, my daughter and I visited Carlsbad Caverns, and I could not get bats out of my mind. I became, in my usual fashion, fascinated with them. This has continued as she and I have visited more caves (she wants to be a geologist when she grows up). I follow my own path as far as spirituality goes; it is a blending of some Native American sweat lodge traditions and Irish Druidry. About a year and a half ago in a sweat ceremony, I came in contact with bat medicine. It seems that the bat has become my totem animal, and I am in the process of learning from her. I don't know how long she will be with me, possibly the rest of my life, maybe only until I learn some Lessons from her. So that is why my lj name is clan of bats. :)
*nodding in complete understanding* Me too. Massage was what helped me most with that. It taught me about healthy boundaries and letting people own their own issues.
