Yeah, that was my problem with my ex -- he was a coward and was always afraid of hurting my feelings, so instead of just being honest about how he felt towards me, he'd sort of be vague and, quite honestly, strung me along for a very long time. Luckily I eventually snapped out of it and kicked him to the curb ;-)
