Is religion an acceptable reason for conflict?

Valid, yes, but accaptable?

Should we, as human beings accept this as a reason and let conflicts happen?

Absolutely. Valid and acceptable.

Conflicts are a just a means of communication. Understanding, tolerance and even harmony would never be reached without it.

What about the risk of conflict escalating to violence? Would that still be acceptable?

Conflicts manifest themselves in many forms. And unless you're a mindreader, its impossible to always predict which will result in violence.

People with opposing views will always collide.

The fundamental question is whether proving "my way is right" is more important than your right to exist.

But when you decide that your right to exist is more important than mine? Then I must defend myself.
