I can understand that... I deny conflicting emotions after making a choice, but they always come back, in one way or another, which is something I'm discovering... Conflicts need to be worked out rather than ignored...
I remember a conversation we had a long time ago about this. . .LoL. . something about following (my) heart.

yes. Conflicts need to be worked out. And I'm finding that two directly opposing choices where neither fits is not the time to make the choice. I need more choices that fit what I need. I don't have them, yet.
